This basic Powerpoint is an historical overview of the history of gifted education. It's primary premise is that the giftedness and gifted and talented education students are social constructs that have changed over time. The resource has been used as an introduction to the area for staff without a background in gifted education at the time that GAT classes were introduced in a New England Region school in Australia.
